We are looking for a confident, imaginative and enthusiastic graduate with a degree in Mathematics or another subject including but not limited to geography, business or science, who is looking for their first job out of university.
This role provides a complementary service to teachers and other staff. This is a great opportunity to motivate students and be responsible for improving their school experience. You do not need to have a maths degree.
The Role
The role involves working within the maths department and with students at all ability levels, addressing the needs of disadvantaged students who require intervention and assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. You will be supporting in the classroom and delivering targeted small group sessions.
This role is the perfect steppingstone for someone who is considering teaching and wants experience being in a supportive and friendly school, a great gap year job or a new role for anyone who would just like to make a real difference to the lives of young people. It is a great opportunity to play a crucial role in the day-to-day life of the school within the classroom and to gain exposure to the school environment.
No previous experience is required as training will be provided. The Winston Churchill School is made up of many enthusiastic, innovative and very knowledgeable teachers who will be able to provide guidance and support to this role.
