Vacancy: Graduate Roles at Winston

Graduate Roles at Winston

We are looking for enquiries of interest from confident, imaginative and enthusiastic graduates with a degree in Mathematics, English, Business Studies or a related subject, who are seeking an opportunity to be in a supportive and friendly school and are considering teaching/ a career in education.

Many of you will have successfully found your first job as a graduate but if you are still looking for the perfect opportunity, working at Winston trains you to play a crucial role in the day to day life of the school within the classroom and to gain exposure to the school environment, whilst making a real difference to the lives of young people. We give our staff opportunity to motivate students and to be responsible for improving their educational experience.

No previous experience is required, however, previous experience working with children would be advantageous. The Winston Churchill School is made up of many enthusiastic, innovative and very knowledgeable teachers who will be able to provide guidance and support to anyone considering a career in education.

It is likely that there will be opportunities to work as a tutor in English, science or maths or as a cover supervisor, to manage groups of students when staff are absent. This would suit a graduate and is good preparation for a career in teaching or other professions, where the skills of leadership and communication are valued.

Applications must be posted or emailed to Mrs R Zimmerman, Headteachers PA at r.zimmerman@wcsc.org.uk

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to demonstrably share this commitment.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
