36hrs per week/42 weeks a year

Salary Range: £19,435 to £21,450

Dependent on qualifications and experience

The Role

Are you a confident IT Technician able to support a busy school environment? Are you looking for an exciting and challenging role supporting and gaining experience with an extensive range of IT devices? Are you looking to be a go to person and use your initiative to solve problems?

This role will be required to maintain and support with a number of IT systems and equipment at the school, including PC’s, Apple MACs, software applications, Radio Station, Recording studio and our new planetarium. This is a great role with exposure to a wide variety of different IT that you wouldn’t access elsewhere.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • IT Equipment- Maintenance and assistance
  • Desktop & Application support
  • Server & Network support
  • Music Technician assistance
  • Support Radio Woking Studios
  • Responsible for Configuration & Installation
  • Responsible for Continuity, Maintenance & Security
  • Management of Requests
  • To be involved in the strategy & planning for the IT
  • team and IT offering at the school.

Interviews will be taking place as soon as we receive suitable applicants on a rolling basis.

Our technicians need to be able to work effectively in a team or on their own and possess good initiative and problem-solving skills.  Being organised and able to communicate effectively is essential, as is an ability to plan and prioritise your work.  Due to the nature of the environment, this role is crucial to the day to day running of the school and the post holder will have shared responsibility in the success of the IT systems.

The IT team at The Winston Churchill School are incredibly knowledgeable and will be able to provide training and assistance to the new post holder in this role.
