Salary: MPS or UPS (Fringe pay scale) + TLR 2c

An exciting leadership and management opportunity exists for keen, enthusiastic, and passionate teachers with a strong desire to form an integral part of the Geography Team at the school.  There will be a wide variety of opportunities to access high quality CPD to be effectively supported and developed in this role, under the guidance of an outstanding experienced Subject Leader.

The Deputy Head of Geography post will focus primarily on supporting the Head of Department, KS3 academic monitoring, including tracking and supporting disadvantaged students, developing fieldwork, and ensuring that the KS3 curriculum is accessible to non-specialist teachers.

QTS is required.

These roles will be in addition to the work and responsibility currently held by the successful applicants with an allocation of time, and reduced time-table commitment, in place to reflect the demands of the role.

Salary: TLR 2c- £3,213

Accountable to:   Head of Department

Permanent Contract:   Starting 1st January 2024
